I took for granted the fitness I had built, it was only when I started tackling exercise whilst pregnant and the aftermath of pregnancy that I really understood how it feels to be starting again with my fitness and how daunting it can be. The team at FACTR have been so supportive, tailoring the workouts to suit me whilst pregnant and now I’m trying to get back my pre baby fitness, they are giving me the motivation and tough love that I need! The team know that I respond positively to firm instruction and it’s fantastic that they can adapt their coaching style depending on the recipient.
Fundamentals has been excellent for me as I could start slowly and gently at my own pace and learn the proper techniques to use. Now 2 years later I can do the full range of exercises at speed and with weights appropriate for my age. Not only am I now fitter than I have been for many years, my posture and mobility are much better. Their ability to arrange the exercises to suit my needs and to provide constant encouragement from all the trainers has made FACTR into an important part of my life.
The FACTR team and community have become such a positive part of my life. It has changed my whole mindset about fitness and training and I am the fittest and healthiest I have ever been. Hands down, the best change has been working out for the joy of what my body can achieve. This has been a difficult year but going into the gym and always seeing a friendly face has made such a huge difference for me. The highlight has been running my first half marathon, something I never thought I could do. Coming up the last hill to the Factr cheer squad was next level amazing!
Before I joined, I did have mixed feelings. I was nervous to interact with others where previously, I’ve always had my headphones in, worked out, not said a word and went home. All I can say now is, I’m so glad I joined FACTR, it is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. FACTR has really helped with making me accountable and disciplined in my training which is something I have struggled with in the past. All of this combined, has gave me the confidence to sign up for my first Hyrox event (I never even heard of Hyrox before).
I love the PT classes and how they are so focused on personal improvement, and I find Bootcamps so challenging but fun! A great mix. The coaches are just simply the best! I cant believe that in less than a year I've run half marathon and completed a HYROX! I feel so much stronger and confident. Lastly the people! Oh my word! I was not planning to make gym friends but I feel I have made friends for life at FACTR! Like minded amazing people whose friendship extends beyond the classes!
The coach’s at FACTR have helped me improve my strength, posture and stamina in what seems a short time. Their knowledge has been invaluable! If I can not perform a exercise the way it is shown then they find an alternative way of doing it. I look forward to my session’s as they consistently change and inspire me to challenge myself to become a fitter person.
I am a busy mum with a demanding job but since joining FACTR I have the direction, discipline and encouragement i need, plus the team keep me accountable for showing up and working on my goals - I have never been so consistent with training and the results speak for themselves. I also have a better work life balance and I set a better example to my children - after all what they see, they will copy. I am so grateful for the beautiful friends I’ve made here and a fantastic social calendar outside of the gym.
The heart of FACTR is it's outstanding community, with was present more than ever at the FACTR summer games which had an insane turn out and was a creative blend of fitness, chaos and humour. The energy and intensity is infectious and extremely enjoyable, it feels like home. FACTR has introduced me to a world of things I didn't know existed such as HYROX which I am now training for to enter my first race in London in November which I couldn't be more excited about.
I have joined FACTR since October 2022 initially to help me through the Winter months and increase my mobility, balance and strength. I like the PT sessions because the classes are small. The members are of all ages so I do not feel out of place. During the sessions the trainers adjust the exercises to suit my ability. It has been a year since I have joined and I can say that I have achieved my various goals, thanks to the encouragement of FACTR's PT trainers.
I was anxious about committing to the gym and getting value for money, but this has made me attend sessions when I haven't wanted too. The biggest change has been committing to making the gym a part of my weekly routine and off the back of that I have lost weight and have a greater desire to keep going! Post gym sessions I always feel like I have got a lot out of that session, which puts me in a positive mindset!
The last 8 months at FACTR has been transformative, my body shape, tone, fitness, attitude to training and general health are one thing, the biggest thing for me is I feel like myself again, my mental health is so much better! Committing those 4 hours a week to myself, has had a huge impact in so many other areas of my life, it’s unbelievable. FACTR socials build a real community spirit driving the culture of friendship, support, fun and hard work, I love that it is well rounded in that respect.
Since I joined I have become a regular gym goer, and no-one is more surprised than me!! More than that, I actually enjoy it. I see progress every time I go - sometimes in strength and sometimes in technique. I feel physically and mentally stronger, and with bags more energy which is all useful with two young kids at home.
I've always been terribly unmotivated, felt out of place in the gym setting, not knowing what to do which inevitably has caused me to quit time and time again. 6 months of coming to FACTR has completely changed my mindset! The team are so encouraging and it actually makes me want to show up! I feel stronger, happier, healthier and motivated not only physically but mentally too.
I’ve always been a bit intimidated by regular gyms - not sure what do to or how to do it. I’ve been at FACTR for a year and a half and now exercising is a regular part of my life and I genuinely love it. The FACTR team have taught me so much, and I’m really seeing progress towards my goals. You’d be hard pushed to find a more welcoming, knowledgable and supportive group of people!
The coaches at FACTR have supported and guided me. They taught me the best techniques for exercises I hadn’t done before, pushed me to lift weights and try that little bit harder, even when i found it tough. I can’t thank FACTR enough for giving me a love of the gym I never thought I would have.
Before joining FACTR I always loved the idea of being able to go to the gym but for many reasons from confidence to lack of knowledge on how to workout properly I always convinced myself out of it. Over the past year I’ve been consistently beating my PB’s and now have the confidence and know how that I can feel comfortable to walk in to any gym now and just crack on with a workout. Not only that but I’m now also running, which I could barely run for longer then a few minutes
I now feel stronger, fitter and generally more confident in myself and going to the gym. I’ve managed to lose weight, change my body shape and become so much more confident in myself. FACTR isn’t just a gym; it’s a lifestyle, social group, place to laugh and let off steam!
Before FACTR the very next day after training I’d be sore with DOMS. We started with small ideas/changes and now I can’t see a better way to get healthy and stay healthy, it’s really working. What I find great about FACTR is they make it simple and easy, the work you put in may not be easy but they clear the fog and you can see progress from each little change you make, at your own pace. You’re being shown how to correctly lift, squat and stretch and I know it’s because of this that my body is working hard but safely.
FACTR has empowered me both physically and mentally. I am the fittest I have been in my entire life- smashing 4 sessions every week- lifting heavy and actually enjoying burpees! I now have that self-love for my body with the determination to keep it going.
After focusing on my strength in the small group PT sessions at FACTR, I got a PB in the Chester half and even did my first Marathon! This was something I never thought possible. The whole FACTR team are brilliant and their approach is spot on. The group training and bootcamps make exercise fun and the 14 week blocks help you to really build good technique and see improvements, which is great for motivation!
I can now confidently say my lifestyle habits have positively changed, I have a better relationship with food and exercise which has benefited my mental health. I've also incorporated working out within my work schedule, which has made me more pro-active and efficient professionally. I definitely know I would not have stuck at this programme if it wasn't for the team behind FACTR.
The group PT sessions are creative, structured and challenging. The team are friendly and unquestionably specialists in what they do. I have lost weight week after week in the short time I have been a member but most importantly to me, I have found a place that is helping me to get back to my normal self.
FACTR has helped me to enjoy exercising again. I didn't have a clue what I was doing because I've always stuck to the cardio machines at previous gyms. The coaches guided me through the weight training exercises which built my confidence up... A year on I've completed my first half marathon!
I started FACTR in September wanting an alternative to the big commercial gyms. A friend suggested doing a trial which was the best decision. The coaches are fun & professional, pushing me to improve my technique and then progress with weights. 6AM bootcamps are brilliant and set me up for the day! Everyone is friendly and the community encourages you to show up & join in!
First the welcoming has been amazing, I felt well supported with professionals in a very kind and great atmosphere. Working in mini groups has helped me to gain self confidence and I have never been judged, even if some exercises were too tough for me at first. The good point is that some weeks later these same exercises started to become easier… and step by step… What a progress… I sticked to 4 sessions a week, 3 PT lessons and 1 Bootcamp. The icing on the cake is that cake I love it so much!
I am now training 4 times a week, more than I’ve ever been able to stick to before, and seeing positive results! The group sessions are supportive and fun, and no one takes themselves too seriously! The team are patient and encouraging & have pushed me to achieve things I didn’t think I could do. They celebrate successes & have a positive and realistic approach to maintaining a healthy lifestyle, not just losing weight.
I started training with FACTR when I was rehabilitating a shoulder injury and with his careful guidance I am already back to pretty much full mobility! I love training in a group because the camaraderie really motivates you and everyone is super supportive. The FACTR coaches are the best in the business - their knowledge and expertise is shared with so much encouragement and support. I know that I wouldn’t have come this far without them. I can’t recommend these guys enough!
Initially, I was apprehensive joining FACTR as I know I’ve never really stuck to a plan properly, but from the first few sessions I knew that with the help of Conor and the other coaches it’s something that I could see myself sticking to. FACTR has helped me find my work life balance again and being part of such a supportive community of people feels great!
I have become part of what feels like a family – the FACTR Family! The coaches make me feel that they are as invested in my health and wellness experience as Conor is. A few months ago, I told the FACTR team that has ‘changed my life’ – a very bold statement – but 100% true. With the support of the FACTR team, I will continue to listen to my body and learn how to become ever more fit and healthy going forward.
In my first 8 months of FACTR, I've been able to lose 8kg in Body Mass, and my body shape has changed massively within that. I've been able to get back to a level of cardiovascular fitness where I'm no longer avoiding cardio and actually enjoy it. Outside of the gym I feel much more confident, and I have more energy in general. It's completely changed my perception of going to the gym, being able to turn up for an hour's class and get 3 times as much out of that hour than going to the gym alone and having to think of your own plan.
It sounds dramatic – but it’s probably true to say – that training with the coaches at FACTR was a potential life saver for me. I was about as far away from your stereotypical PT client as it probably gets but the coaches are supportive and friendly whilst, at the same time, helping you to identify what you need to change and where you are putting up barriers to your own success. The early days in the gym were incredibly tough but the they used their knowledge and skills to programme for me at each level of my progress, making adaptations where necessary.
The Bootcamps are so much fun and well planned with different challenges along the way. They're something I thought I would never be able to do ( being older !) but they are suitable for all abilities and ages. It's not just about fitness; the social aspect is amazing as well! I've learned to really enjoy the gym & would 100% recommend FACTR as I've seen huge improvements to my physical ability, my mental health & my confidence since joining FACTR.
I have trained with the FACTR coaches for many months now and couldn't imagine training without them! I was initially nervous about training with other people, but the group sessions are supportive and fun, and no one takes themselves too seriously! My physical and mental health have never been better and I have made a bunch of lifelong friendships!
I joined FACTR when it first opened because previously I have lacked motivation, confidence and felt intimidated in those sort of environments and most days would need to talk myself into going. My mindset has totally changed with FACTR and I always attend on my days i've scheduled. The trainers are brilliant and the classes are fun and motivating. The community is a big part of FACTR and I have made loads of new friends. Im seeing great results and changes to my body and my fitness levels have improved massively.
I never feel pressured to go further than I am comfortable with but I'm always pushed for consistent small improvements which over time add up to big improvements. I feel way more confident in the gym now and I am stronger and fitter than I have been in a long time. But training at FACTR has given me so much more than just being fitter and healthier. We constantly discuss wider goals and how what we do in the gym can help that. The coaches take the time to understand me as an individual and adapt how they are with each person.
Initially feeling older and less fit than other gym members, I felt a bit anxious about the group environment, but it's been great and it's one of the most enjoyable aspects. I now do a regular mixture of strength and cardio training tailored to meet my personal health needs and have become fitter, healthier, and happier. I never thought I'd say this but my 6am sessions at FACTR have become an enjoyable start to my day and is now going to the gym is never a chore!
